First thing’s first: you can’t recreate Milestones at home without having food from Milestones at home. Crazy, but true. And now, you can order pick-up right from our website. So, whether you’re eating solo or feeding a family of 15, you can now make any occasion a special one. You've also found another excuse to put some real clothes on and get out of the house.ORDER PICK-UP >
One of the best parts of dining out is getting to sit in a seat that's different than the one you’ve been sitting in all week. In other words, a comfy Milestones booth. Since you’re at home, we want to encourage you to recreate one of our booths however you can. Like by eating on the couch. Or even better, bringing the couch to your dining room. Okay, logistically that seems like a bad idea. But, bringing the couch pillows to the kitchen? Genius.
Background music is a big part of our ambiance and especially helpful for creating a new, special atmosphere when eating next to the people you've been eating next to for months. There's a playlist called "Your Table's Waiting" waiting for you on the Stingray Music platform. It's the same exact music you'd hear in our restaurant, but in your pocket. All you have to do is click "LISTEN NOW" below to enjoy. A couple DJ tips: during dinner, volume goes a little lower. After dinner, a little louder, or as loud as your neighbours will allow.Listen now
Don't you miss eavesdropping on conversations when dining out? If not, keep scrolling. If so, click play to listen in on the unpredictable exchanges happening at the tables next to you.
We all know the power a dimmed light and candle can bring to an ambiance. But, unless you’re on a dating reality TV show, lighting candles may not be something you think of doing with your meals regularly. So, please use this one as an excuse to let your inner mood lighting expert out. Just tell your family / roommates / partner that the Milestones website told you it would be a good idea.
Now that the vibe has been adequately set, it’s time for the food. After a quick reheat (if necessary), your meal is ready to be served. Take it out of the containers and lay it out on your favourite dinnerware. Bonus points if it looks Instagram-worthy, and our tip is to wipe around the food, so it looks properly proper. For an extra touch of fine dining finessing, wrap up your cutlery in napkins – black ones would match ours.
If you took advantage of our alcohol takeout program, you deserve a toast.
Whether you’re drinking a well-priced bottle you got from us, or one you have at home, get your wine glasses out to cheers the meal. 6oz for a Monday pour. 9oz Mile Size for a Thursday pour. And don’t forget to start with a taster to make sure it’s just right.
Grab a mug out of the freezer and slowly pour at a 45-degree angle so the liquid lands directly into the middle of the side of the glass. Once you’ve poured about half of it in, straighten the glass and pour the rest directly into the centre. You might’ve already known this trick, unless it’s your first beer. In which case, congratulations.
We have a signature cocktail for those of you feeling extra spiffy. Follow this tutorial to make our Strawberry Negroni. If you don’t have strawberries on hand, whisper sweet nothings into the mixture instead. You’ll end up with an equally delicious traditional Negroni and a sudden desire to add strawberries to your next grocery list.
Once your glass is ready, hold it up high and toast to the good times, the tough times, the times ahead and all the milestones along the way.
Last but not least, the service. We don’t expect you to fully replicate this at home, but don’t let that stop you from trying. Put your top-notch imagination to good use and take turns serving your loved ones or roommates. Remember to always serve from the left using your left hand, clear from the right using your right hand, and collect your tip using either.
Share how you’re recreating the Milestones dining experience at home for your chance at internet fame. You could be featured in our social channels or below in our #MilestonesAtHome collage. All we ask is that you remember us when you’re famous.
